Serves: 4 Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes

🧺 Ingredients:
12 oz spaghetti (or any pasta you like)
5 tablespoons butter (divided)
8 garlic cloves, minced
1 lemon (zest and juice)
¾ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups reserved pasta water
Salt and pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
🍽️ Tools You'll Need:
Large pot
Colander
Grater or zester
Lemon squeezer (or just your hands!)
Spoon or tongs
👩🍳 Instructions:
Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a big pinch of salt and the spaghetti. Cook according to the package directions (usually about 9–11 minutes).
Save the Pasta Water: Before you drain the pasta, carefully scoop out 2 cups of the water and set it aside. Then drain the pasta.
Start the Sauce: In a large pan or the empty pasta pot, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until it smells delicious and just starts to turn golden (not brown!).
Add Pasta and reserved Pasta Water to the garlic mixture. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
Mix in Lemon and Parsley: Add the lemon zest and juice to the pan and stir. Add 2 more tablespoons of butter and the Parsley. Toss everything together until the butter is melted and the sauce is silky.
Season and Serve: Add salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese to taste. Serve and enjoy!
