🧀 Easy Omelet Recipe 🍳Makes 1 omelet – perfect for breakfast or lunch!
🥚 Ingredients:
2 or 3 eggs
A small handful of shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
Salt and pepper (just a little)
Butter or oil (for the pan)
Optional veggies (use any you like!):
Chopped tomato
Chopped onion
Chopped spinach
Chopped bell pepper
Mushrooms (sliced)
🍴 Tools You’ll Need:
Bowl
Fork or whisk
Frying pan
Spatula
Stove (ask an adult for help!)
👩🍳 Steps:
Crack the eggs into a bowl.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Whisk the eggs with a fork until they are all mixed up.
Heat the pan on the stove over medium heat. Add a little butter or oil.
(Optional) If you're using veggies, cook them in the pan for 1–2 minutes until soft.
Pour the eggs into the pan. Tilt the pan to spread the eggs all over.
Cook for 1–2 minutes without stirring. When the eggs start to set, sprinkle the cheese on top.
Use the spatula to gently lift one side of the omelet and fold it in half.
Cook for 1 more minute until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.
Slide onto a plate and let cool a little. Then enjoy your yummy omelet!
Tips:
Be careful—the pan is hot! Always ask an adult to help if you need it.
You can add ham or cooked bacon too!
